What is probably the most interactive gaming system to ever hit the market is the Nintendo Wii. Wii was originally an acronym for “what is it”.

When you finally get your hands on the under stocked and expensive Nintendo Wii gaming system you will find many things included. You receive one console, one controller, one nun chuck , one remote jacket, one remote strap, and a seven in one sports game. Originally Nintendo encountered problems with gamers losing control of their controller and actually launching it into their T.V. screen. This was when they introduced the soft silicon jacket and the adjustable safety strap which fastens to your wrist.

The design of the game is that you must imitate the actions of whatever game you are playing using your controller. For example if you are playing a tennis match you must swing your remote like a tennis racket in the direction that the ball is coming from. The system is extremely responsive, it’s almost as if you are actually there on the tennis court. Just the seven sports games that come with the system will have you working up a sweat in no time. With the boxing game you need to attach the nun chuck for your other hand to use.

There is an array of games that you can get to satisfy your gaming desires with. Some of the more affordable games are slightly less interactive than the top notch games, but they are still remarkably fun to play. There is also many RPG’s that cater to the more conventional gamer. Nintendo’s Wii caters to a larger demographic than regular gaming systems that rely on button manipulation only. This is because of it’s high level of interactivity.

Attachments, attachments, oh the attachments. You can even get little tennis rackets, golf clubs, baseball bats, boxing gloves, steering wheels, aerobics pads, microphones, etc to further enhance your gaming simulation.

With the system, games, and attachments you can expect to pay a small fortune for your gaming pleasure. One alternative that gamers are starting to turn to is to join paid membership websites where they can have unlimited access to downloads and games for their system. With the membership cost being approximately the same as the cost of one game it seems like a wise long term money saver.

Despite the cost there has been an incredible demand for the Wii. Trying to find one of these systems on the shelf was near impossible. When they first came out you either had to be in the right place at the right time, or you had to camp out to get one. People that had access to them were exploiting them on auction sites and making a handsome profit on the limited supply and high demand.

No matter how you got your system or your games, Wii lovers everywhere are having fun and staying fit doing so.
